Evolutionary Physiology

The ultimate goal of this course: to give the participant the opportunity to see and to understand the relationship between health, form and function/structure, and to recognize it in his or her patients.

A clear and conscious look at form allows the artificial boundary between anatomy, embryology, histology and physiology to disappear. These educational limits are being replaced by a holistic view of the human form and the human functioning. In other words, seeing consciously form instead of looking at it. Through extensive didactic examples and shared reflections during the classes, participants can also take living images to their daily osteopathic practice. Conclusion: In this course we will melt together science and her recent discoveries in our applied philosophy. Let's not lose sight of the fact that a philosophy and the resulting concept, if it is not supported by the scientific verification, is nothing more than a belief or superstition.

The ultimate goal of this course: to give the participant the opportunity to see and to understand the relationship between health, form and function/structure, and to recognize it in his of her patients.

Osteopathy is a philosophy, a concept and a science, all based on nature.

Description of the course Evolutionary applied physiology

This course consisting of six seminars, handles the clinical application of the relationship function/ structure in osteopathy practice. The central aim of this course is not theoretical physiology, but the knowledge and use of the physiological principles, directly applicable in osteopathy practice. We follow the path of biochemistry to the functioning of organs and organ systems. This course offers participants the practical tools for differential diagnosis and reasoned osteopathic treatment of patients. Physiology describes the dynamic interactions between molecules, cells, tissues, organs and organ systems, to see and to better understand the levels of functioning of the whole organism . In osteopathy health is the first focus, maintained by the reciprocal interactions of function/structure, that come together as one in the concept of Form or Morphology.

The osteopaths, participants in this course, will take the following chronological, hierarchical and dimensional way:

  • From atom to molecule
  • From molecule to cell
  • From cell to tissue
  • From tissues to organs
  • From Organs to organ systems
  • To finish with deeper understanding of the complex functioning of the whole organism

Attention

The course "Evolutionary physiology" is a multi-year course. Invitations to the following seminars will automatically follow after registration. A participant can has to start at the beginning but may end his participation at any time.
